As the Cycle draws to a close, the last bastion of humanity overflows with survivors loyal to their ancient empires. Each tribe envisions a new future for mankind, oblivious to the conspiracy that led them all here in the first place.

Though many cling to their crumbling cities and dwindling civilizations, this dying world's fate is not set in stone. As a Guide, you can lead your army across the wastes, take on any contract, and champion any cause. Will you stand against impossible odds for the sake of all humanity, or will you abandon all hope and bring about the end times?

• Create your character

You are one of many nameless wanderers, but your destiny is far from fixed. Customize your character by choosing a tribe and a background. Develop them throughout the game by learning new active skills, passive perks, and discovering otherworldly powers.

• Build your army

Many survivors will fight for coin, honor, or glory. Recruit units from a cast of four major factions - ambitious Lemurians, noble Thuleans, fierce Hyperboreans, and fanatical Agarthans. Complement your army with minor tribes, like the enigmatic Shu or the ethereal Atlanteans, or tame beasts and monsters native to the wastes. If all else fails, conjure Elementals and Thoughtforms through long-forgotten rituals, if you are willing to pay the price.

• Pick your battles

The desert is ripe for plunder, brimming with ancient relics and caravans alike. Choose your engagements carefully as you traverse these lands, then face your foes in tactical, turn-based battles using the units and skills of your choice. Further enhance your army by equipping powerful Relics that can rewrite the rules of war. Resort to every trick in the book to emerge victorious, or become yet another casualty of the end times.

• Tell your story

Carve your path as you decide who to side with and who to destroy. In these unprecedented times, seize each opportunity however you choose. Become a caravaneer, trading goods between settlements. Join great battles as a mercenary company, or delve deep into mysterious dungeons in search of unimaginable power.

Many have perished while pursuing noble causes, and you may even choose to become a living legend to those in the desert. Yet even the most virtuous path can lead to unexpected outcomes, and your deeds will shape your standing with every faction. Seize your destiny and uncover one of many possible endings.
