In Strife Lords, you must make a strategy to maintain your army and control the board. Capture farm and mine tiles to amass gold, essential for fueling your conquests, as you can't go on the offensive without paying your units off. Footmen are the weakest, but in groups of 3s will be effective in battle. Spearmen are more aggressive, but they have a weaker time on the defensive. Kings are the strongest unit of the time, being strong in offense and defense. They will all die the same ways in battles, if the battle doesn't go your way. Roll the dice to see how many units you placed in a battle will die, and suffer the consequences.
As you navigate the board, form alliances, betray rivals, and outmaneuver your opponents in a quest for dominance over the three main sites to win the game. Will you be aggressive? Or will you slowly chip away at your enemy's units until they have nothing left? There are many different strategies to win. But all that matters is who controls the vital tiles for victory.
