110 card sets for Free Solitaire made from public domain digital scans/photos of the 14-19th century European art. Also, 65 landscapes by J.M.W. Turner that work nice as low-detail backgrounds.
Included art styles:
NOT included: Impressionism and any later styles, the Medieval or earlier art, other cultures/continents.
Some images are flipped horizontally to let the picture fit into the card's frame and not let an important detail (e.g. face of the character) get covered by the rank/suit signs. Many of the images are cropped to fit into the card's proportions. Cards are small, so I prioritized filling the whole card's area and zooming in on the composition center.
The DLC covers only the most prominent artists of the selected period, which are mostly from Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, France, the UK and Germany. If you are into art or are an artist yourself, I encourage you to make a card set with digital scans/photos of your favorite artists with the in-built card set editor in the game. Or maybe just post your request in Discussions.
