Story

Our story follows Rakka, a disillusioned office worker navigating the monotony of corporate life in 1993, London. Rakka’s world begins to unravel when she stumbles upon a mysterious code hidden in a care package from her job. A real head-scratcher. Alongside her roommates—Sascha, Björn, and Kev—Rakka's life takes a sharp turn from mundane to mayhem as they face unsettling phone calls and a break-in that suggests they're being watched. The realization that they may suddenly be entwined in a dangerous conspiracy makes the roommates, each battling their own struggles, weigh their options. When Björn reveals he’s figured out the code, a decision is made; they’ll rally together in a leap of escapism. What starts off as just a laugh, quickly turns into a high-stakes journey that pulls them away from normalcy, and into a web of intrigue, secrets, danger, and self-discovery. As you guide Rakka and her friends through this narrative, you'll uncover not just the answers to the mystery, but also explore the depths of their friendships and personal growth. Gameplay

Rakka is a visual novel. Players progress through the story by exploring characters, dialogues, and uncovering clues that are crucial to understanding the answers that slowly unravel at the heart of this game. Based on a conceptual arts and music project, this game is especially sonically-driven, using its soundtrack to enhance the atmosphere and immerse players in the unfolding tension, that goes hand-in hand with it’s unique hand-drawn, paper-cut style.
